Item description
Will be reporting to the Services mananger. We need a highly motivated, passionate and self- driven individual who is looking for a challenge and willing to make a difference. Degree in ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY or similar qualifications. POST-GRADUATE MANAGEMENT qualification with 10 years’ exp in a laboratory enviro of which 4 years must be at middle management level with very strong leadership qualities. Knowledge of Smelters/heavy industry enviro ESSENTIAL. Ability to effectively manage a unionized workplace. Understanding the operation and calibrating of the ICP, XRF, Carbon & Sulphur & general laboratory instruments. Proficiency in gravimetric analysis & wet chemical analysis. Knowledge of a LIMS program. Competence in implementing & maintaining of the lSO/IEC 17025 standard is COMPULSORY; ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 Standards; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Self— motivated, committed and resourceful Initiative and drive, Ability to work under pressure. CLOSING DATE 22 December 2011
